To configure Boostie Board, go to Jobs in the left-side navigation in the Boostie app, then click Job Board Settings.

Job Board Settings

Activate

Leave Activate off while you’re setting up Board.

Once:

  • all settings on this page are complete, and
  • Boostie Support confirms your front-end + back-end configuration is correct,

toggle Activate ON (it will turn green) to make your Board live.

Domain

Job Board URL

Boostie provides a default Job Board URL for your Board.

Custom Domain Name (Recommended)

For the best candidate experience, we recommend using a branded domain such as:

  • jobs.yoursite.com
  • careers.yoursite.com

To set up a custom domain, contact Boostie Support at support@boostie.com.

To preview your Boostie Board in real time while you edit settings, scroll to the top of Job Board Settings and click the Job Board URL under Domain.

Your Board will open in a new tab.

Note: Your Board is accessible at its URL right away - anyone with the link can view and test it before you go live. What's not active yet: Boostie won't index it for SEO, send candidates links to jobs, or drive any traffic to it until you toggle Activate ON (green). Use this time to preview, share with your team, and get everything dialed in.

Want a clean slate? Click Reset to default values in the slideout to restore the original Boostie styling, then rebuild from there.

Layout

Layout controls how your Boostie Board is arranged for candidates - where the job list appears, where filters live, and what details show up on the job page.

What you can configure

Main Page Layout

Choose how the main job search page is structured:

  • Right Sidebar – filters on the right, jobs on the left
  • Left Sidebar – filters on the left, jobs on the right
  • 2 Column / 3 Column (if available) – a wider, grid-style layout for browsing

Single Job Page Layout

Choose how the job detail page is structured:

  • Right Sidebar – job details with supporting info on the right
  • Left Sidebar – job details with supporting info on the left

Main Page – Specialty Display

Choose how Specialty / Category is displayed on the main page:

  • Checkbox – candidates can select multiple specialties at once
  • Dropdown – cleaner UI with a single selector

Visibility

Toggle which fields candidates can see:

  • Main Page – Show Employment Types (ex: Contract, Direct Hire)
  • Single Job Page – Show Published Date
  • Single Job Page – Show Job ID

Marketing & SEO

Marketing & SEO settings help your Boostie Board show up better in search, look more polished when shared, and connect to the tools your team already uses to measure and improve performance.

Think of this section as your Board’s search + tracking control panel.

What you can configure

Home Page Title

This is the title shown:

  • in the browser tab, and
  • as the clickable headline in search engine results (when indexed)

Best practice: Keep it short, branded, and clear.

Example: Acme Staffing | Jobs

Home Page Meta Description

This is the short description that can appear under your title in search results. It helps:

  • improve click-through rate from Google
  • set expectations for candidates before they land on your Board

Best practice: 1–2 sentences that include your specialty + value prop.

Example: “Browse open IT and healthcare roles nationwide. Apply in minutes.”

Custom Scripts (JavaScript)

Use this to add third-party tools to your Boostie Board by pasting JavaScript into the field. Common use cases include:

  • Analytics: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot tracking
  • Conversion tracking: paid campaign pixels (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, etc.)
  • Chat widgets: Intercom, Drift, Zendesk
  • Behavior tracking: Hotjar, FullStory

Important notes:

  • Each script must be wrapped in <script>...</script>   tags (as shown in the editor).
  • This is powerful — only add scripts you trust and that your team supports.

How to edit Marketing & SEO settings

  1. In the Marketing & SEO section, click Edit Marketing Settings (top right).

    A slideout opens with:

    • Home Page Title field
    • Home Page Meta Description field
    • Custom scripts editor

Click Save (bottom right) to apply changes.

    • If you leave without saving, your updates won’t take effect.

Job Posting Settings

Click Edit Job Posting Settings to open the slide-out.

Rewrite Job Summary

The Rewrite Job Summary toggle controls how Boostie handles your job descriptions when synced from your ATS.

When enabled (green): Boostie ingests the job description from your ATS and rewrites it using AI before it's posted to Boostie Board. The result is a cleaner, more candidate-friendly summary - without the internal jargon or bloat.

When disabled: Boostie will not rewrite the description as it exists in your ATS. However, Boostie will still extract Benefits, Skills & Expertise, and apply consistent formatting to keep every job posting looking sharp and on-brand across Boostie Board. The actual job description content stays as-is.

Fine Tuning Job Summaries

When Rewrite Job Summary is enabled, you can optionally add Fine Tuning to guide how Boostie rewrites your job descriptions.

Fine Tuning applies to all jobs with this setting active. Use it to give Boostie specific direction on tone, audience, or brand voice - so every rewritten summary feels intentional, not generic.

Note: Regardless of this setting, Boostie automatically extracts and hides company details and specifics that staffing businesses typically keep out of public job postings.

How to add Fine Tuning:

  1. In the Job Posting Settings slide-out, locate the Fine Tuning section
  2. Click + Add New
  3. Enter your guidance and click Save

Fine Tuning examples:

  • "Use a confident, professional tone throughout."
  • "Use language and tone that resonate with college students."
  • "Match the branding tone used on our website at www.acmestaffing.com."
  • "Keep summaries under 150 words."

The more specific your Fine Tuning, the better Boostie can match your voice at scale - across every role, every time.

Why this matters

When these settings are dialed in, your Boostie Board becomes easier to find, easier to trust, and easier to measure, so your team can drive more qualified traffic and prove what’s working.

Launch Time!!!

Here’s your finished Boostie Board, a branded, high-conversion job hub built for how candidates actually search.
